Karen Huang, Vice President / Director of Operations

Karen joined Edu-Tech in 2014 and has worked in public and private schools for over twenty years. She holds a B.A. in Education and Child Study from Smith College and began her career as an elementary teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools (VA). She has been an instructional technology coach for most of her professional career, helping teachers use technology creatively and meaningfully in the classroom. Karen is innovative and resourceful in assisting schools in using technology to improve student engagement and learning. She differentiates training for teachers' professional growth by providing hands-on group training and one-on-one sessions. Karen's experience as a parent, teacher, and technology coach has allowed her to develop a strong sense of best educational practices. Those skills, coupled with her technology expertise, enable her to create and provide practical, easy-to-implement ideas to help teachers and students reach their full potential in their learning.

Karen is a Google Certified Trainer and has also been trained in Responsive Classroom, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Professional Learning Communities (PLC). At Edu-Tech, she oversees day-to-day business operations, manages the technology integration support program, oversees the technology assessment and audits, and trains our clients in Google Workspace for Education, Chromebooks, Smartboards, and iPads.
