Edu-Tech Middle School 3D Challenge - 2015
The results are in and we have our winners!
Congratulations to both teams and to each of our schools that participated in our 3D Design and Printing contest! Our four judges took over an hour each to evaluate all of the submissions presented by our seven participating schools. The judges noted how well designed, documented and thoughtful each project was and each judge expressed a great deal of difficulty making their final decision.
In fact, it was so close that the top five teams were less than 26 points apart, out of a total combined score of 400 possible points. What a finish!
Each school that participated in our contest will receive an award for the amazing effort and weeks of hard work required to produce their projects, with the goal of helping to stimulate a maker movement at their school for the 2015-16 school year.
Hill Top Prep and Holy Child will each receive one of the MakerBot Replicator 2 3D printing units and printing materials for their school.
All other teams will receive a Layr3D Drawing Pen and printing
materials for their school.
We encourage you to take a moment to review the links below and discover more about each school and the projects they developed and printed during their time with the 3D printer at their school. On behalf of everyone at Edu-Tech, I would like to congratulate all of the students, teachers and our own technology integration specialists that helped to create these projects. They made a commitment of time and energy to research, design and build these incredible 3D printed objects and devices and we applaud them for all of their efforts!
